I was calling Tyler to tell him about the buzz of activity taking place at the house in preparation for his arrival later this afternoon. I could sense something in his voice, when asked how he was doing, he replied, "not too well". Apparently he had a seizure this morning about 6:30. His roommate, Robert noticed something wrong and alerted the staff. The seizure was minor (as seizures go, I guess) and was only 2 minutes in duration. Unfortunately it has left Tyler nauseous and frightened. The nurse is waiting for the Doctor to arrive, and has called an ambulance to transport Ty to the hospital for precautionary evaluation. This is such a helpless feeling, I don't know why these ill fortunes of life don't leave our boy alone. All plans for coming home later today are now tentative. We are delegated, once again, to the role of wait and see... and it sucks!
I just got a call from the nurse, Ty is being taken to Hartford Hospital ER. He's conscious and alert, and I'm assured this is precautionary. Doesn't feel like it to me.
prayers for Tyler to get through this

Our prayers go out to tyler and your family.
ReplyDeleteBetter in the clinical setting than anywhere else. This is just a speed bump. Extra encouragement to all of you today.
ReplyDeletebtw, the quote the other day about David and Goliath is credited to JFK for a speech in 1960.
