July 6-2 2000

Tyler worked hard today, and saw the optometrist this afternoon. The eye MD is cutting a pair of glasses which should solve his double vision and clear his sight for the most part. He has a meeting of his TBI group this evening, then Ty can finally rest. Tomorrow he's psyched for his aqua-therapy session in the afternoon.

that makes a life worth living."

  1. So glad to hear Tyler is doing well, he seems like a fighter! Your love for him is apparent in every word you write. My son, Michael (15), has been following Tyler's progress and wants to write to him to help keep his spirits up. Is that ok? Just need an address. It's nice to find an old friend, take care of yourself as well! Debbie

  2. Tyler was so ON for the TBI group, smiling the whole time. He introduced himself, saying "I'm looking forward to getting my head back together, literally and figuratively..." -- cracked everyone up. The guest was on a motorcycle and hit by a car in September 2010 -- TBI, lost 6 weeks, many many bones broken. He turned 49 today and looks and talks just great. He's an attorney for death-row inmates and just won a major case against a tough prosecutor -- something he never thought possible in those months after the accident. His key lessons were to trust the excellent staff, and be patient. There wasn't a dry eye. Tyler, fill in what i left out ok? -- dd
